Revision of Monetary Ceiling for Reimbursement of Briefcase/Officer Bag/Ladies Purse
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has issued a revised order regarding the monetary ceiling for the reimbursement of Briefcase, Officer Bag, and Ladies Purse for various levels of officers and officials within the postal department. This revision aims to update the financial limits to be in line with current requirements.

Details of the Revision
As per the order dated 04.09.2024, the revised monetary limits for reimbursement, inclusive of GST, are as follows:

Important Points to Note
- Procurement Choice: Officers and officials entitled to these reimbursements can purchase a briefcase, office bag, or ladies’ purse of their own choice from any public or private outlet. However, the reimbursement amount will be restricted to the revised ceiling mentioned above.
- Effective Date: This revised order is effective from the date of issue, i.e., 04.09.2024.
- Approval and Finance Advice: The revision has been approved by the Secretary (Posts), and the advice of Internal Finance/Integrated Finance was conveyed vide Dy. No. 100/2024-25/FA-CS(P) dated 02.09.2024.
