IPPB Recruitment 2025: Opportunity for Gramin Dak Sevaks
The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a Government of India initiative under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, has announced a recruitment drive for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) to join as Executives. This initiative aims to fill 348 vacancies for GDS currently serving in the Department of Posts.
IPPB uses the extensive DoP network of over 1,65,000 post offices and 3 lakh postmen and GDS to provide doorstep banking services. This recruitment gives GDS a unique opportunity to contribute to financial literacy and the Bank’s outreach.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 20 to 35 years
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution
- Experience: Not required
- Important: No pending vigilance/disciplinary cases
Selection Process
- Merit-based on graduation marks
- Merit list will be prepared banking outlet-wise
- Tie-breaker: Seniority in DoP service, then date of birth
- Online Test may be conducted if necessary
Job Profile & Compensation
- Tenure: 1 year, extendable up to 2 more years based on performance
- Temporary engagement; no regular absorption in IPPB
- Roles: Achieve sales targets, organize customer events, conduct training, assist GDS in acquiring customers
- Salary: ₹30,000/- per month (inclusive of statutory deductions), with annual increment and performance incentives
